Judge Peter F. Rogers ‘69 (Retired) is a legacy graduate of Franklin and Marshall College which includes three of his brothers and a nephew. A Vietnam Era veteran, he served a two year (1969-71) tour of enlisted active duty followed by four years in the Naval Reserves. Judge Rogers is a 1976 graduate of North Carolina Central University, School of Law.
Elected and commissioned as a Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas judge in 1998, he served in the Criminal, Civil and Family Court Divisions until his retirement in December 2015. Prior to his judicial service, he was an Assistant District Attorney for Montgomery County, Pennsylvania (1976-78); Staff Attorney in the Corporate Legal Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia (1978-81); and, for 16 years thereafter (1981-97) he was a solitary practitioner at the criminal defense bar. A serious photography hobbyist since the 1980s, he recently launched his third career as a Fine Arts Photographer focusing on landscape, nature and architectural scenes. His preferred print medium is Chromaluxe High Gloss Aluminum.
